Cookie policy
No cookies on the site’s pages, and so no banner.
In short: the site’s pages set no cookies — no technical, statistics or profiling cookies — and load no third-party content or tools. That is why there is no banner: there is nothing to consent to. Only the area reserved to the firm’s staff uses technical cookies, for signing in.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files a site saves in your browser to recognise it on later visits. The same rules apply to other techniques that store or read information on the device, such as the browser’s local storage. Tools strictly necessary for the site to work need no consent; those used to profile or track you do (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Garante’s guidelines of 10 June 2021).
What does the site use?
On the public pages, the only information saved in your browser is a technical flag in session storage, which clears itself when you close the tab. It contains no identifier and is never sent to our server.
sapg:intro(session storage, technical): remembers that you have already seen the opening animation, so it does not repeat on every page. Cleared when the tab is closed.
The page language is shown in the address (/it or /en), not in a cookie. Fonts and images are served from our own domain: opening the site does not make your browser contact third-party services such as Google Fonts, maps or embedded videos.
How do we measure visits without cookies?
We count page views within the site itself, without writing anything to your device and without third-party tools such as Google Analytics. So as not to count the same visit twice, the server derives a session code that changes every day and is deleted after 30 days; the IP address is not stored. The statistics serve only the firm, in aggregate form. The details are in the privacy notice.
What about the reserved area?
The panel the firm uses to manage content and enquiries (at /admin) is open only to authorised staff. Those who sign in receive technical cookies, necessary for that service and therefore exempt from consent:
payload-token(technical authentication cookie): keeps you signed in after login. Expires after two hours and is renewed while the panel is in use.payload-lngandpayload-theme(technical functionality cookies): remember the language and theme chosen in the panel.
Visitors to the public site receive none of these cookies.
How can you manage them?
You can delete the data sites have saved, session storage included, at any time from your browser’s privacy or site-data settings. The public site keeps working fully.
Links to other sites, such as LinkedIn or the ELF – European Law Firm network, lead to pages that use their own cookies, governed by their own notices.
Questions?
For any question write to dpo.privacy@sapglegal.com. How we process personal data is explained in the privacy notice. The Garante’s cookie guidelines are published on garanteprivacy.it.
